HORNETS ULTIMATE BOWLS FORMAT
Open 2 Bowl Triples (Hope Valley members only – any category)
5 Games of 5 ends
Cost of $10 per player (includes BBQ tea)
Total Prize pool of $1,000.
Game Rules:
1 Toss to determine who has mat at start of each game.
2 No rolling of Jack – Skips place jack on any one of the 5 spots.
3 Leads place mat on any of the spots as directed by Skip (as per placement chart below).
4 No dead ends – jack to be spotted on 2 metre centre mark.
5 No player is allowed to vist the head during any end.
6 All players to cross at same time.
7 No stopping or conferring during the cross -over.
8 Touchers going out of play still score (refer scoring below).
Scoring
10 points for closest bowl
5 points for 2nd-closest bowl
3 points for 3rd-closest bowl
3 points per toucher
3 points to team who hold shot after first bowl of both seconds (1/2 game score)
Total points after all 5 games will determine the overall winner and runner-up
In the event of a tie – highest Total shots scored will be the winner.
