At the BoM meeting held Monday 16th March 2020, it was agreed that effective from midnight Tuesday 17th March to midnight Sunday 26th April, the Club will be closed and all activities and functions scheduled during this period have been cancelled. This includes:
- Presentation Day, Easter Carnival and the ANZAC Day matches.
- Social Bowls – Wednesday, Friday & Saturdays.
- The Ladies and Men’s Section AGM.
- All Friday night dinners.
- Sunday coaching sessions
The greens will be open for practice for those playing in Pennant finals and State events, but entry to the Clubroom facilities is not be permitted. The only exception to this is for the installer of the new automatic sliding door (supervised by Martin Smith), and a team of volunteers who will do a good clean of the Clubroom.
An automated message will be set up on the Club phone.
This decision was not taken lightly, and we acknowledge that some members may not agree with it, but as a Board we have erred on the side of caution taking all advice and factors into consideration.
Members of the BoM will meet again on Monday, 27th April or earlier if necessary, if any further relevant information becomes available.
